  • Of the Aegean – sea of dreams

It is the Aegean sea that provides me with these images (mixed media photo shop images).

Art is always a very personal experience and can be vivid as well as very suggestive, leaving space for the imagination.

“My only love, the Sea. For hers is the countenance οf the ideal. And her name, an exclamation mark! I recall not when first I encountered her … No doubt I was descending from some mountain peak, bearing armloads of flowers!” Excerpt from K. Karyotakis poem “Sea Encomium”.

Kostas Karyotakis is considered one of the most prominent Greek poets of the 1920s.
